This month’s flash theme is FALL of course✨ We are so excited to kick off the season with what makes us feel the FALL. Designs are roughly $60-200. Arms and legs only (unless you check ahead with your artist). Flash library is open game, or designs from this month’s sheets. Artist specific links in bio for prebook appointments. Walk-ins also available first come first serve.

Our original location opened in 2016 in Dormont.

From getting keys to opening our doors I had 11 days. It was a mad rush and it didn’t know how long a small business built off my limited savings and credit cards could last. I always said ‘I will stay in Pgh so long as I still have bookings… 9 years later somehow we are still here. From going through 7 apprenticeships, to regular threats of violence from the tattoo community, denied of fair lending and opportunities, and more this has been built by 10-16 hour work days virtually every day of the year. And just as importantly…

If I work every day of the week, it means nothing without clients who respect and value our creative efforts together as well as our fight to represent and make change in the tattoo community <3

I cannot help but reflect and feel immense gratitude for every client, neighbor, plant and loved one who has helped to create this energy and this space. Thank yinz

This our 9th year of being nominated for Pittsburgh City Paper’s Best of and our 9th year of business<3 As a very small business that started with money from selling my motorcycle; from storefront keys to first tattoo, I had 11 days to open our original location in Dormont.

Either way I felt this was a nice moment to thank yinz for your support. Thanks to yinz our shop has already contributed to over 15 non profits and fundraisers THIS YEAR. it has been so fun to catch yinz at our pop ups, flash days, raffles, donations and sponsorships. Thank yinz for inviting us into your work places, favorite nonprofits and of course your skin! haha From the beginning we have been about community. So the community thinking to nominate us is very touching.

As many of yinz may know, I moved here while traveling/looking for a tattoo apprenticeship. I remember picking up a copy of The City Paper when I first moved here. I read about where artists and musicians were showing, job listings and local news. It is wild to be nominated for Best Tattoo Shop as well as Best Entrepreneur: Female. It is wild to feel like a part of this great place. Thank you for taking me in Pittsburgh <3

This month’s flash day is PRIDE & FRIDAY THE 13th 1-8pm. Designs will be inspired by pride, self love, Friday the 13th and our pal Jay’s Birthday :D

East End Brewing has also graciously invited us BACK AGAIN AGAIN to tattoo June 22nd from 1-7pm. Lee, Nick and Sara Eve will have pride and Friday the 13th inspired flash available to tattoo at 147 Julius St, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. Appointments are available as walk-in and prebook (links below). 30% of proceeds to benefit Sisters PGH’s wonderful work here in our communities. We will have a limited number of spots. Flash released as made :D

MAY has been Ah-MAY-zing!

This month we connected with community new and old. I cannot believe it will be 9 years of PMA Tattoo this October. As a shop we have always been committed to community. We started with just my personal savings in just 11 days. I would have never believed how much we could grow.

The 3rd annual Tats for Cats was a great success thanks to everyone’s efforts. This month we have raised over $6,000 (that’s more money than we started the original shop with haha) for Oakland TNR along with our business neighbors The Parkway Theater, Abjuration Brewing, Safari Eats, Headtriiip Glass, Shadobeni, Helen’s Pupusa’s & Antojitos, DJ Johnny Marco and more <3

Beyond our cat flash fundraiser, this month continues to warm our hearts. Our shop was recognized, along with many talented tattooers from Pittsburgh, at PAAR’s Teal Ball with the Laura Ditka Visionary Award. After hearing about the services, support and education provided by PAAR makes us even more excited for this year's Ink for Impact. We are so excited to participate this upcoming October, stay tuned for more news, designs and information :D

Since the beginning of the year we have contributed to and gave to over 10 non-profit and community efforts. From Tree PGH, to PAAR to Oakland TNR and beyond. We have even more collaborations in works so stay tuned.
