HELLO, Sara Eve at PMA Tattoo here :D

Our original location opened in 2016 in Dormont.

From getting keys to opening our doors I had 11 days. It was a mad rush and it didn’t know how long a small business built off my limited savings and credit cards could last. I always said ‘I will stay in Pgh so long as I still have bookings… 9 years later somehow we are still here. From going through 7 apprenticeships, to regular threats of violence from the tattoo community, denied of fair lending and opportunities, and more this has been built by 10-16 hour work days virtually every day of the year. If I work every day of the week, it means nothing without clients who respect and value our creative efforts together as well as our fight to represent and make change in the tattoo community <3

I cannot help but reflect and feel immense gratitude for every client, neighbor, plant and loved one who has helped to create this energy and this space. Thank yinz
