After many trying months, we finally sealed the deal! Sara Eve now owns 637 Broadway Avenue in McKees Rocks as the future permanent home of PMA Tattoo! There are so many folks who came together to help get PMA Tattoo into a forever home, so we want to take a minute to thank them. Shout out to Eric Vanistendael of Keller Williams Realty, Arthur Clinger or Bridgeway Capital, Vanessa at the Colonial Title Company, Jeb from the McKees Rocks CDC, Nick & Ashley from our future neighbors at Blackforge (!!!), and of course, all of YOU who contributed to our Kiva loan! We will have more information in the next week in regards to when you can expect our relocation, but for the next few months we are going to be sitting cozy in our current Dormont location with no interruption to previously scheduled appointments. Stay tuned for more exciting updates as we move towards our pretty lil home sweet home!
We wanted to take a moment here to thank the folks at Design Sponge for interviewing our beloved Sara Eve for this truly awesome magazine. This edition of the magazine includes 168 pages of first-person essays, pep talks from well-known creatives, studio visits and interviews, group discussions, illustrations, stunning photography, and in-depth explorations of specific fields and niches, from designers in rural areas to the next generation of publishers providing platforms for marginalized voices and communities. We are so excited for Sara Eve to be featured in this magazine, and we are so appreciative for the opportunity to spread that PMA! Here is a link to the magazine's page on Design Sponge's website: http://www.designsponge.com/goodcompany
Also wanted to give a big shout-out to Kat from Requiem Images for taking the beautiful photos featured in the interview! If you haven't checked out her work, you are doing it all wrong. Find her on Instagram @requiemimages, or check out her website http://www.requiemimages.com/
Love y'all ♡♡♡
Hey there, everyone!
We participated in an event called The Power of the Purchase, a week-long fundraiser through Planned Parenthood. We wanted to give a big THANK YOU to all the folks who purchased artwork so far to support this organization! We still have plenty of artwork available for purchase, and are continuing to donate our sales to Planned Parenthood through the end of the month, so no worries if you missed the week-long event!
If you would like to make a donation directly to Planned Parenthood, you can do so via https://www.plannedparenthood.org/ and select the "Donate" button.
Thanks again, beautiful humans!
Community activism is important for all of us here at PMA. We are so grateful for all the folks who are actively working to improve our collective existence on the level of the individual, the communal level, and the way in which both of those function in conjunction with our environment and all of its inhabitants. For this reason, we have decided to do a series of charitable donations over the next three months. We are still sorting out the details, but we're excited to share with you what we have so far!
For the second week of March, we are partnering up with Planned Parenthood along with many other local businesses for the Power of the Purchase. Details are still forthcoming, so keep an eye out for an announcement coming up pretty soon! Here's a little more information about the event: https://www.plannedparenthood.org/planned-parenthood-western-pennsylvania/get-involved/events
On April 16th, we will be doing $40 semicolon tattoos for Semicolon Project Day (100% of profits will be donated to this cause). We, along with folks all across the world, are thankful for founder Amy Bleuel's societal contributions, and remorseful for such a warm light to be extinguished. We look forward to working with this cause in her honor, and in honor of any and everyone who suffers from mental illness and suicidal thoughts. More information about this organization can be found here: http://projectsemicolon.com/
We will calling on you, our lovely PMA bb's, to help us decide what organization to donate to in the month of May! Stay tuned for how you can provide your own recommendations and cast a vote. We look forward to working together with you to help have a more positive impact on our community, our existence, our world. Thank you to all of you for being lovely, caring humans. Let's spread some PMA! ♡♡♡
So proud of our pals at Onion Maiden who had a really big year last year! Onion Maiden is easily one of the best restaurants in Pittsburgh. We've been regularly attending their pop-up brunches for quite some time, and couldn't be happier for them to have opened a restaurant so we can eat their delicious food ALL THE TIME! They have some of the best food you can find, and it's completely vegan! It's amazing. We had our 1 year shop anniversary at Onion Maiden, so it holds a very special place in all of our hearts here at PMA ♡. Last month our pals at Onion Maiden gave PMA the honor of getting cute matching onion tattoos done by Sara Eve! Thank you so much to Dingo, Elyse, and Brooks for letting PMA be a part of such a special tattoo! It was lovely having y'all in the shop.
If you haven't already, get your butts down to Onion Maiden and check them out! They're located in Allentown at 639 E Warrington Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15210. Their hours are Wednesday-Friday from 5pm-10pm, and on Saturdays from 10am-2pm and 5pm-10pm. You can also find some of their delicious baked goods for sale at Black Forge, Artisan Cafe, Lili Cafe, and Lilliput Cafe (all of which are awesome places you should definitely check out)!
Love, PMA Tattoo
Donny Thomas of Counting Sheep Productions came into the shop and made an informative little video of PMA! Patient, professional, prompt, and talented, he did an amazing job, and we wanted to share the results with you, along with a shout-out for him!

Hello, loveliest of lovelies! Well, a new year has begun, and it has us here at PMA reflecting on this last one. 2017 was quite an eventful year for PMA Tattoo! So much has changed over the past 365 days, and we wanted to take a moment to share our appreciation with you all!
PMA welcomed in a new tattoo artist, Santana Woodring, who has since then worked with her clients to tattoo some really beautiful works of art! Sara Eve took on Abby Rose as an apprentice, who, under her tutelage, has progressed rather impressively (keep an eye out for when she begins tattooing this year!). Our hero, Sara Eve, has done so much amazing work this year - from tattooing to making designs and having collaborations with local businesses and organizations like Girls Rock PGH, Trash to Thrash, Bantha Tea Bar, Wigle Whiskey, and SO many more <3!
The shop itself underwent a pretty snazzy transformation - with our beautiful new floors, and our handmade storefront (thanks, Derrick!), PMA is looking pretty darn spiffy going into 2018! Oh, and let's not forget about the espresso machine, because... yeah. We love it. We can't wait to see what this year holds for us all, but if last year is any indication, then we can expect some really exciting things this year! Lastly, we wanted to give a big ole' thank you to YOU! Our beautiful clients, and friends. Thank you for your continued trust and support. You're what keep us going here at PMA, and we couldn't do it without you! Love y'all! <3<3<3
Hello, beauties! Are you in a holidaze thinking about what to gift your loved ones this year? Why not get them their next tattoo?! We have PMA gift certificates available for purchase! We even have cute little bundles for only $20 more that include a t-shirt and a sticker!
Stop by the shop to claim yours today, or shoot us an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org to have it shipped to your home <3
Stay lovely, humans!
Hello, everyone! It's that time of year. We're all doing a bit of traveling over the next couple of months, so we figured posting our wonky holiday hours would be a good idea :P
We will be open these days:
We will resume our regular hours (11am-7pm everyday) after New Year's Day!
Also, I couldn't decide which picture to put with this post. So rather than choose, I'm just going to post them both.
Thank you, beauties!
We're so excited to have our very own Sara Eve featured in this article via Queer PGH! We are honored to be considered a safe and open place for fantastic humans to get tattooed! What an incredible feeling to be a part of this wonderful community, along with so many of our talented friends and peers.

We got an upgrade! Now our store front matches the buzzing sound of our tattoo machines inside! Big shout out to local woodworker/artist Derek Griesbach for his beautiful work, and to Requiem Images for these beautiful photographs! <3<3<3
We're all set to go here at PMA! Sara Eve, Santana Woodring, and Abby Rose know all about givin' them heimlichs, m-t-m resuscitations, handling contaminates, plus a whole bunch of other goodies (and we have the paper to prove it). We've got your back (literally, if you are falling). The State of Pennsylvania doesn't require these things, but ya can't have PMA without peace-of-mind. Stay safe, dearies! <3
Hello! We are so excited to participate in the Dormont Music Festival happening this Saturday, September 30th! Sara Eve, Santana Woodring, and Abby Rose will have items for you to peruse and purchase, should you choose to do so! Our booth is going to be located near the Hollywood Theater on Potomac Avenue, so come give us and tons of other lovely neighborhood shops a visit! We look forward to seeing you there ;)
(Here's a sneak peak at some framed prints Santana Woodring will have available for purchase, and a painting Abby Rose has in the works!) <3
Check out this awesome event featuring some work by our very own, Sara Eve! It's going to be a day filled with art and awesome local music. Don't miss it!
It's kicking off at 10:30pm on September 28th, at the Mr. Smalls Funhouse!
Here is the Facebook event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/1916164695372647/?acontext=%7B%22action_history%22%3A%22null%22%7D
We hope to see you there!
Sara Eve's "Bailando con La Muerte" shadow box will be showing soon...
We are so excited to announce that we will be participating in the Girls Rock Benefit show on March 10th 6-8:30pm. Please join us at Percolate Art Gallery, 317 S Trenton Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15221 to support young ladies in the pursuit or music/preforming arts. I am so happy that organizations such as this exist to help foster and develop young ladies in Rock'n'roll. Encouraging young women to create art benefits them not only mentally, but also emotionally, and physically. I am so honored to help support this exhibit.
See you there!
The first shop I ever worked at was in State College, Pennsylvania. It was called Tattoo Marks Studio II located on Calder Way. It was the tattoo shop that my dad got his dragon tattoo from, the tattoo that first sparked my interest in tattooing. When I was seven, my dad got this tattoo from Timmy Tatts. I was immediately obsessed with the idea of drawing designs on my skin.
I drew on myself nearly everyday, no matter how much my parents urged me to stop. I drew designs on myself, my homework, my notes and my friends. Tattoos fascinated me. When I was old enough to get my first tattoo, I went back to Tattoo Marks and got tattooed my Timmy's brother, Lowercase j. My first tattoo was my first experience in a tattoo shop, the tattoo shop that I got my first desk position at eventually. I am very grateful to be able to return to this shop on guest spots. It still feels a bit surreal to reflect on those days at the front desk as I tattoo clients at Tattoo Marks, now known as King Cobra Tattoo.
Our very own, Sara Eve Rivera has recently collaborated with Wigle Whiskey on this packaging design. Read more about the collaboration below.
Demeter, the Greek goddess of the harvest, and her bees, or “melissae,” present a spirit created by fermenting and distilling local fall honey before macerating in whole botanicals. As part of the Wigle Brewers Series, we then aged the resulting Landlocked Spiced spirit in a single 53-gallon barleywine beer barrel from East End Brewing Co. for two years and partnered with Sara Eve Rivera for label artwork and design inspiration. With a nose of honeysuckle, a sweet earthy wineyness, and notes of nutmeg, cloves, and honey on the tongue, Demeter is a unique addition to the Landlocked family.
The Demeter is a honey spirit made from a 100% Honey and infused with whole, organic botanicals--roasted orange peel, cocoa nibs, whole vanilla beans and cinnamon then aged in used barrels that previously aged barleywine beer and before that aged bourbon whiskey.
We here at PMA Tattoos believe that clean water is a human right, and we will do whatever we can to show solidarity with the Water Protectors, as they bravely stand up against the Dakota Access Pipeline.
We are offering tattoos of the pictured traditional Sioux design for a donation made in store directly to Standing Rock. This design is by water protector Stephanie Big Eagle of the Oceti Sakowin (Great Sioux Nation).
The pipeline is slated to travel underneath the Missouri River, thereby contaminating drinking water. Additionally, it is planned to run through sacred Native land, and threatens to destroy Native burial grounds. The Morton County Sheriff's Department has been terrorizing Water Protectors with water cannons, rubber bullets, sound cannons and more. This is not acceptable to us at PMA, and we are happy to do whatever we can to show our solidarity.
